The Seattle Seahawks' 2019 season obviously did not end like fans hoped it would. That is especially true for cornerback Tre Flowers, who had an absolutely atrocious game in the team's NFC Divisional Round loss to the Green Bay Packers.
But if fellow teammate Shaquill Griffin is to be believed, Flowers appears poised for a bounce-back campaign in 2020.
Seahawks fans have to hope Griffin is right because Flowers had a pretty rough season. He graded out as the 104th overall cornerback among 115 qualified CBs, per Pro Football Focus. Flowers' down year culminated with that rough showing against Green Bay, allowing 4 completions on 4 targets for 85 yards and 2 touchdowns. That was "good" for a perfect 158.3 passer rating.
Still, Flowers is pencilled in as the team's starting slot cornerback, playing alongside Griffin and new acquisition Quinton Dunbar. Flowers only played 29 snaps in the slot last season, per PFF, so perhaps the position change will help get him back on track.
Griffin certainly seems to think it will.
