Teams That Can Knock Off 49ers in Potential Run to Undefeated 16-0 NFL Regular Season

Now that the New England Patriots suffered their first loss of the season on Sunday night, the San Francisco 49ers are the NFL's lone undefeated team. For a squad that went 4-12 just a season ago, this is quite the turnaround.

Now sitting at 8-0, the 49ers are available in a special team futures prop bet on FanDuel Sportsbook, which lists San Francisco at +1100 odds to go 16-0 during the regular season. That being said, Jimmy G and Co. are about to enter arguably the most difficult portion of their schedule.

With that in mind, here are three teams that could end the 49ers bid at an undefeated regular season.

1. Week 13 at Baltimore Ravens

Lamar Jackson and the Baltimore Ravens ended the Patriots' undefeated run in Week 9, and they'll potentially have the chance to do the same against the 49ers in Week 13. Baltimore has the home-field advantage in this one, and the Ravens have gone 3-1 at M&T Bank Stadium so far this season. The Ravens also own the NFL's best scoring offense, averaging 31.4 PPG, so Baltimore is as equipped as anyone to give San Francisco's vaunted defense some issues. If Jimmy Garoppolo is forced into a shootout with Jackson, who is now tied for the best odds to win the NFL MVP, the advantage could go to Baltimore here.

2. Week 14 at New Orleans Saints

At this point in the season, it looks like this matchup between the 49ers and New Orleans Saints could very well decide which team earns the NFC's No. 1 seed. The Saints have gone undefeated since losing to the Los Angeles Rams in Week 2, and now with Drew Brees back at the helm, this team looks like a legitimate Super Bowl contender. New Orleans is 17-3 at home in the regular season since the 2017 season, meaning the 49ers could have a tough time knocking off the Saints in the Superdome come Week 14.

3. Week 17 at Seattle Seahawks

The 49ers have two remaining games against their division-rival Seattle Seahawks. The first matchup with the Seahawks is at home in Week 10, but the Week 17 contest at CenturyLink Field, home of the vaunted 12th man, should present a tougher challenge for the 49ers. Russell Wilson is a legitimate MVP candidate this season, and after tossing five TDs in Week 9 against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, he's showing no signs of slowing down. While the 49ers' defense has been absolutely dominant through Week 9, holding opponents to 12.8 points per game (PPG), beating Wilson twice in a season is no easy task. San Fransisco could also have everything other than the perfect regular season locked up while the Seahawks are still playing for a playoff spot in Week 17, making this a potential must-win game for Seattle.

Honorable Mentions:
- San Francisco 49ers vs. Seattle Seahawks, Week 10.
- San Francisco 49ers vs. Green Bay Packers, Week 12.
- San Francisco 49ers vs. Los Angeles Rams, Week 16.
