The 2019 MLB season has been a roller coaster thus far. The Seattle Mariners got off to one of the best starts in baseball, but they've gone 4-15 over their last 19 games. Meanwhile, many thought the Tampa Bay Rays and Minnesota Twins would've fallen off by now, but they're both still well above .500.
With so much early-season chaos, you may need some help with picking a team in Week 8 of MLB survivor. Luckily, The Duel comes out with weekly picks to help you win your survivor pool, and here are three survivor baseball picks for Week 8 of the 2019 MLB season.
3. Washington Nationals
The Washington Nationals haven't been great this season, but they stand to benefit from an easier schedule in Week 8. Washington opens with four games on the road against the New York Mets, a team that has dropped five straight. Washington then closes with four games against the Miami Marlins, though only three of the four will count for Week 8. Considering the Mets are struggling, and the Marlins are 13-31 this season, Washington has a good shot at finishing above .500 in Week 8.
2. Minnesota Twins
The Minnesota Twins are red hot right now, having won five of their last six games. Based on their Week 8 schedule, they have a good shot at keeping this impressive run going. The Twins square off against the Los Angeles Angels in a three-game series before returning home for another three-game set agains the Chicago White Sox. Facing two clubs currently below .500, Minnesota has a good chance at winning at least three games this week.
1. New York Yankees
After a hard-fought series against the Tampa Bay Rays, the New York Yankees have one of the easiest schedules in baseball this week. New York plays four games against the Baltimore Orioles (15-30), before facing the Kansas City Royals (15-31) three times. While all seven games take place on the road, New York's talent advantage could give the Yankees a great shot at finishing above .500 in Week 8.
