Both the Philadelphia Phillies and Houston Astros have caught fire throughout these playoffs, I mean, that's how you reach a World Series, right? However, most would argue the Astros have been hotter since they have yet to lose a game during the playoffs, a perfect 7-0 so far.

Taking a closer look at the Astros run, or even more specifically right before it started, you see the last time they lost a game 22 days ago was against these same Phillies. And who was on the mound for the start of that game you ask? Yup, Aaron Nola, the same guy standing on the bump to start Game 1 of the World Series.

Nola has been really solid throughout these playoffs, holding a 2-1 record with a 3.12 ERA and averaging a little more than a strikeout per inning. Nola goes up against Justin Verlander who got shelled in his first game of the playoffs, but rebounded with a dominating performance against the New York Yankees in Game 1 of the ALCS.

The Phillies are +144 moneyline underdogs on the road in Game 1 of the world Series in Houston, according to FanDuel Sportsbook's latest MLB odds.
