The Phoenix Suns struck first in their NBA Finals matchup against the Milwaukee Bucks. Phoenix was in control throughout their Game 1 clash on Tuesday and had every answer for the Bucks' comeback efforts in the fourth quarter.

The Suns' odds to win the NBA championship on FanDuel Sportsbook are rising following their victory.

Suns Championship Odds

Phoenix entered Game 1 as the favorite to win the NBA title at -195 odds over the Bucks (+165). After the Suns' victory, they're now at -300 to win the ring while Milwaukee has slipped to +240.

There's a ton of time for things to change in this best-of-seven series, but it's easy see how Phoenix could come away with the Larry O'Brien trophy. The Suns' core trio of Chris Paul, Devin Booker and Deandre Ayton combined for 81 of the team's 118 points, 25 of the team's 43 rebounds, and 15 of the team's 18 assists in Game 1.

Milwaukee needs to stop at least one of those three from going off if they have any hopes of winning this series. The good news for the Bucks is that Giannis Antetokounmpo was still productive (20 points, 17 rebounds) in his first game back following his knee injury. A bounce-back scoring game from Jrue Holiday (10 points) in Game 2 could help even things up 1-1 on Thursday.
