Fortunately, the team received some good news on that front. It looks like he avoided any kind of major injury and is simply considered day-to-day moving forward.

Juju Smith-Schuster Injury Update

Smith-Schuster has been diagnosed with bruised ribs and has received negative results on all of his tests. There is a hope that he can suit up on Sunday against the Green Bay Packers, and this seems to be a short-term injury no matter what. More updates on his status should be released soon.

The young wideout has been an integral part of the Steelers' offense this season, racking up 121 yards from scrimmage and 1 touchdown on a total of 14 touches. Smith-Schuster ended up leaving in the third quarter of a 24-10 loss after attempting to catch a long pass from quarterback Ben Roethlisberger.

With wide receiver Diontae Johnson already dealing with a knee injury, the Steelers need to get healthy in order to stay relevant in the AFC North. Pittsburgh's daunting WR trio could come in handy in Week 4 as the Packers are giving up 27.7 points per game in 2021 (No. 24 in NFL).
