The 2022-23 NCAA college basketball season continues on Friday, Nov. 11 with the Brew City Battle. This year's annual event — which takes place at American Family Field, the Milwaukee Brewers' stadium — will be played between the visiting Stanford Cardinal and Wisconsin Badgers.

Stanford began the new season with an 88-78 win against Pacific, led by the newly transferred Michael Jones' 31-point effort. Wisconsin was also victorious in its opening game, blowing out South Dakota, 85-59, on Monday.

Wisconsin enters this contest as the clear home favorite on the moneyline and spread per FanDuel Sportsbook's odds. This 7:30 p.m. ET clash also features an over/under of 136.5 points, which is average compared to Friday's projected totals.

Stanford vs Wisconsin Prediction & Pick

The odds point to this game being a close one, which shouldn't be surprising. The two schools have met nine times over the years, resulting in five wins for Standford compared to Wisconsin's four. Back-to-back victories in this series have only happened once, further showing how evenly matched they are.

Having said that, I like Wisconsin a bit more this time around. Though Stanford never trailed against Pacific, the Cardinal were outscored in the second half and even outplayed on the perimeter. Meanwhile, the Badgers shot an impressive 46.2% from three-point range in their lone game this season, outscoring South Dakota by double-digit margins in both halves.

Furthermore, Wisconsin is also 8-2 straight up in its last 10 games against Pac-12 schools. With this being the Brew City Battle and the Milwaukee crowd likely being rowdier than ever, look for the Badgers to get the job done at "home."

Final Score Prediction: Wisconsin: 73 | Stanford: 68

Stanford vs Wisconsin Betting Trends

- Stanford is 2-6 straight up in its last eight games.
- Wisconsin is 1-4 against the spread (ATS) in its last five games.
- The total has hit the under in four of Stanford's last five games against the Big Ten.
- The total has hit the under in five of Wisconsin's last seven games.

Stanford vs Wisconsin Best Bet

As mentioned above, the total tends to be lower when Stanford faces the Big Ten. In addition to the total going under in four of the Cardinal's last five games against the conference, the total has also hit the under in five of Wisconsin's last seven games overall.

With the two sides combining for just 108 points in their last meeting four years ago, I can see another low-scoring game on Friday. Factoring in the Badgers owning the 64th-best scoring defense in the nation last year, back the total going under 136.5 points.

Bet: Under 136.5 Points (-110)
