Seahawks Hosting Former Second-Round Pick for Free-Agent Visit on Thursday
The Seattle Seahawks made a splash to begin free agency, bringing back defensive tackle Jarran Reed and adding top EDGE Dre'Mont Jones. Now fans are curious what peripheral moves the team will make to fill out the roster's depth.
Well, Seattle is slated to host a former second-round pick for a visit on Thursday.

Free-agent defensive back Lonnie Johnson will have an in-person meeting with the Seahawks before the weekend. He was a second-round pick by the Houston Texans in 2019, where he spent three seasons before playing for the Tennessee Titans last year.
Johnson would be a nice depth option in Seattle's secondary. He's appeared in 56 games since entering the league, including 19 starts. The best season of his career came in 2021, when he racked up 3 interceptions and 6 pass breakups.
The 27-year-old has the flexibility to play at both safety and cornerback as well as on special teams, which adds to his value. Given how the Seahawks' secondary was one of their strengths in 2022, solidifying that unit with a low-cost player who's able to step up as a starter if needed makes a ton of sense.
