The battle for the last few spots at the wide receiver position seems to be all but decided for the Seattle Seahawks. The team's final roster cuts have now seen four wideouts get released with Cody Thompson, Darece Roberson, Travis Toivonen and Connor Wedington all set to hit the waiver wire.

While none of these players were set to make a major impact during the 2021 season, head coach Pete Carroll has been adamant that cutting anyone is a tough part of the game. Quarterback Russell Wilson is expected to target the duo of DK Metcalf and Tyler Lockett a lot this upcoming fall.

Thompson had the best shot at making the Week 1 roster after showcasing his versatility throughout the preseason. The 25-year-old was especially impressive on the special tams unit. The Seahawks will now have to hope they can put Thompson back on the practice squad given he clears waivers.

Meanwhile. Roberson was the only Seahawks' offensive player to score a touchdown during the preseason. He used his crisp route-running abilities to break past his defender and haul in a 2-yard pass from backup quarterback Sean Mannion on Saturday.

Keep an eye on whether or not Seattle makes any more cuts at the wide receiver position. For now, the Seahawks head into the season with odds set at +280 to win the NFC West division, according to FanDuel Sportsbook. They also have the ninth-best odds to win the Super Bowl at +2000.
