Sam Martin Reveals Former Bronco Convinced Him to Sign in Denver

The Denver Broncos found a new punter this offseason, signing former Detroit Lion Sam Martin while releasing Colby Wadman.
Martin has a huge leg, having notched 259 touchbacks as a kickoff specialist and hitting a punt of at least 60 yards every year since he came into the league in 2013. He also revealed that it was a former Bronco that convinced him to sign in Denver, thanks to his constant praise for the organization.

Matt Prater played alongside Martin with the Detroit Lions for years after signing with the team during the 2014 season. Before that Prater had spent just over six full seasons with the Broncos. Prater was great in Denver, even breaking the NFL record with a 64-yard field goal.
As it turns out, Prater also harbors no hard feelings about being released in 2014. Martin says that Prater would praise Denver "on a weekly basis."
That goes to show not only how great a place Denver is, but how strong an organization they have and how much class Prater has.

Already sold on the city of Denver and the Broncos organization, Martin should be a great fit on a team with high hopes for the 2020 season.
