Ryan Kerrigan Posts Touching Tribute to Washington Football Team

After a lengthy 10-year run with the Washington Football Team, the all-time franchise leader in sacks is changing uniforms. On Monday, the Philadelphia Eagles signed Ryan Kerrigan, who will now flip sides on this NFC East rivalry.

With a career spanning one decade and including nearly 100 sacks and 450+ combined tackles, the change of scenery isn't something Kerrigan takes lightly. Kerrigan took to Instagram following the news of his new deal and posted a touching tribute to the Washington franchise.

Kerrigan is pretty much at a loss for words when coming up with a description for his time in Washington. That's definitely understandable considering his place on the franchise record leaderboard.

"I’ll never be able to sum up what these past 10 years have meant to me in an Instagram post, but what I can say is that they have been some of the best of my life. I hope you had as much fun watching me as I did playing for you. Thank you, Washington, for everything."

Washington fans should still be feeling good despite the loss of a franchise legend.
