Ryan Fitzpatrick Makes Bold Prediction About Tua Tagovailoa in Year 2

Veteran Ryan Fitzpatrick and rookie Tua Tagovailoa shared starting quarterback duties for the Miami Dolphins this season, with neither truly earning the role outright. Now, Fitzpatrick is headed to free agency, while Tagovailoa has a clear path to being the team's starter in 2021.
The QB veteran offered his prediction on how Tagovailoa will fare in his second NFL season.

Fitzpatrick believes continuity with the Dolphins will be a huge reason Tagovailoa progresses in his second NFL season. Instead of needing to figure out everything he did as a rookie when he first he arrived in Miami, he can now focus on football, which should have big results.
"To have an offseason, to have repetitions, to have some sense of continuity with [co-offensive coordinators] George Godsey and Eric Studesville in his ear calling the plays and working with him. All that stuff points to him having a much better season this year and continuing to progress as a quarterback. That's the most important thing for him -- progression."

Fitz didn't stop there, though, offering praise for his teammate in the process. The veteran said that Tagovailoa was a top-five pick for a reason, and his talent sets him above so many others.
This is just another piece of evidence that shows Fitzpatrick is one of the greatest teammates of all-time. It's exactly what Tagovailoa needed to hear with his name in trade rumors and after facing criticism from anonymous teammates.
Fitz's optimism should get Dolphin fans excited about a potential breakout sophomore season for Tua.
