Miami Dolphins promising rookie quarterback Tua Tagovailoa has been downgraded to doubtful for the team's Week 12 game against the New York Jets. This puts Ryan Fitzpatrick firmly on track to start.

Fitzpatrick has been really reliable in fantasy whenever he's seen the field, so expect him to be a solid QB1 against the Jets in Week 12.

Ryan Fitzpatrick Fantasy Outlook

Before getting yanked in favor of the Dolphins' rookie, Fitzpatrick was actually fantasy's QB8. He's had a few stretches like this in the past, so it's not insane to expect him to maintain that pace for as long as he retains the starting job.

He'll definitely benefit from a matchup with the New York Jets (No. 32 in pass defense DVOA) in Week 12. And if he's still starting in Week 13, the Cincinnati Bengals (No. 28 in pass defense DVOA), aren't exactly an intimidating opponent, either.

Against a Jets' defense that surrenders the fourth-most fantasy points per game to QBs, Fitzpatrick should be a QB1 in Week 12. That's great value considering he's only rostered in 5% of Yahoo! leagues.

It'll be important to monitor Tua's health throughout next week as well, as Fitzpatrick would also rank as a top-12 option if he starts against Cincinnati in Week 13.
