After dropping the opening game of this second-round series on the road, the No. 4-seed Houston Rockets will look to tie the series against the No. 1-seed Golden State Warriors in Tuesday night's Game 2. The Warriors are 5.5-point favorites in this matchup, according to FanDuel Sportsbook.
The Rockets will have their work cut out for them, as Scott Foster is set to officiate Game 2. He has history with James Harden and Chris Paul, and the Rockets have not performed well with Foster as a referee.
As it's always smart to hear what those in the industry have to say before placing a bet, here are some expert predictions for Game 2 of this second-round playoff series.
Rockets vs Thunder Predictions
Lorenzo Gahol, of BettingPro, is expecting another fierce matchup between these two teams. The first game was decided by just four points, and Gahol thinks we'll see more of the same. He expects Golden State to win straight up, but likes Houston to cover the spread.
Evan Petty, of Cappers Picks, thinks that the Rockets will continue to target Steph Curry if his ankle still isn't 100 percent. If he remains a liability on defense, Harden and the Rockets will be able to have their way on offense. Petty is taking Houston to cover in Game 2 as well.
Matt Schmitto, of RotoGrinders, thinks that the Rockets can't shoot any worse than they did in Game 1. Schmitto also thinks the Warriors will have a harder time closing out on the Rockets' jump shots after the no-calls from Game 1, so he's taking the Rockets to cover in this one.
Overall, we have all three highlighted experts taking the Rockets to cover the spread in Game 2. As long as the officials don't play a huge factor, this should be a tight game.
