Richard Sherman Timeline for Free Agency Signing Revealed

Some notable NFL free agents remain on the market after a flurry of deals were signed in March. That includes veteran cornerback Richard Sherman, whose impact on the field was limited in 2020 due to injuries. Still, the defensive back could be great addition to any secondary in need of help.
Sherman has set a timeline for when he'll finally sign with a team in free agency,
Richard Sherman expects to wait until after NFL Draft to land a job: "You turn 33, and then it's like, 'We'll wait until we get a young pup; and if we can't get a young pup, we'll take an old fool'"https://t.co/PbWrxLNVJU pic.twitter.com/BQ5E2djw8c

It appears he'll have to wait until the 2021 NFL Draft to sign with a team because franchises are focused on finding young, cheap talent at the moment. But when some teams strike out on adding to their secondary through the draft, that's when they'll come calling for the five-time Pro Bowler.
Sherman still can make plays even at 33 years old. He's just one season removed from his fifth Pro Bowl selection in 2019, when he hauled in 3 interceptions (including a pick-6) and registered 11 passes defensed.
His 88.9 overall grade from ProFootballFoucs (including 90.1 in coverage) showcases that the corner has aged gracefully and is still able to play at a high level.
The Las Vegas Raiders' interest in Sherman has been known for a while, but the New Orleans Saints are in the mix as well. A reunion with the Seattle Seahawks also isn't out of the question, and Sherman could head to Dallas to work with his old defensive coordinator in Dan Quinn.
