Ravens Projected to Sign Top Defender in Free Agency

The Baltimore Ravens missed out on the 2021-22 NFL playoffs after they suffered six straight losses to close out the regular season. Now, they must turn to free agency to look for a solution if they want to bounce back next year.
Free Agency Predictions
NFL.com gave a prediction for each team a free agent could be matched with this offseason, and the Ravens are projected to add a former Super Bowl champion in the form of Miami Dolphins defensive end Emmanuel Ogbah.

Ravens Free Agent Rumors
The Ravens had one of the more underwhelming pass-rush attacks in the league last season. That issue was highlighted by the fact that they only recorded 34 sacks in 2021 — tied for the ninth-fewest across the NFL.
Living up to his nickname "The Nigerian Nightmare," Ogbah has the skills to fix Baltimore's pass-rush issues. For starters, he recorded 9.0 sacks for the second straight season while also setting a new career-high with 24 quarterback hits.
On top of that, the 28-year-old also tallied 41 total tackles, as well as 12 broken up passes and a forced fumble. That's fairly impressive considering how disappointing the Dolphins were last season.
Listed at +2000 odds (No. 8), the Ravens are among FanDuel Sportsbook's potential Super Bowl contenders next season. Improving the defense with players like Ogbah would go a long way in maintaining those odds.
