The Baltimore Ravens should be excited about the potential of first-round pick Rashod Bateman. The former Minnesota wide receiver was one of the top receiving talents heading into the 2021 NFL Draft and he'll immediately give the Ravens' WR room a boost.

It sounds like Bateman is already making his presence felt at Baltimore's offseason workouts.

Praise for Bateman's early flashes in OTAs and minicamp comes via star cornerback Marlon Humphrey. The lockdown corner was so impressed he told Ravens GM Eric DeCosta that he thinks the team got a "pretty good one" in the wideout.

“I told DeCosta, I was like, ‘Hey, man. I think we got a pretty good one in Bateman.’ So, he’s shown some really good things to me. I can’t wait to get some more battles with him in training camp and take it into the season.”

That's no small praise coming from one of the league's best CBs. Getting the attention of a two-time Pro Bowler and recent First-Team All-Pro corner is no easy task, let alone for a rookie, yet Bateman has done just that.

Bateman racked up 147 receptions, 2,395 yards and 19 TDs across 31 games for the Gophers. He'll have a chance to make an impact right away in an offense that needs playmakers from its receiving corps to step up.
