The Toronto Raptors are in the midst of a down season, but this is a team not really in rebuilding mode with guys like Pascal Siakam and Fred VanVleet, and young stars like Scottie Barnes.
Toronto comes into Friday's contest against the New York Knicks with a 16-22 record and in 12th place in the Eastern Conference. That record would certainly indicate a rebuilding team. The Knicks, on the other hand, will finish the first half of the season with a winning record, already at 21-18 and in sixth place in the East.
Raptors Injury News
When the Raptors welcome the Knicks on Friday, the team will be without Otto Porter Jr. because of injury, and both Dalano Banton and Ron Harper Jr. will be out because of G-League duties.
The Raptors have already played the Knicks once this season, defeated New York, 113-106, on December 21. Things might be a little more difficult this time with their injuries. Conversely, the Knicks will be without R.J. Barrett.
