Raiders Could Reunite With Veteran Defender in Free Agency

The Las Vegas Raiders are busy putting the finishing touches on their roster as they prepare for training camp. It's been an exciting offseason in Las Vegas full of big-time additions, but NFL teams know depth is a huge factor for any hopeful contender.
That's why the Raiders are considering bringing back a veteran defender from last year's team.
Reunion? Veteran LB Nick Kwiatkoski visited the #Raiders on Monday, per source. He previously visited the #Falcons and has at least one more visit scheduled.

Linebacker Nick Kwiatkoski met with the organization on Monday, per NFL Network's Tom Pelissero. Kwiatkoski has seen interest in his services spike after the draft, visiting with the Atlanta Falcons recently and having another meeting with an unknown team on his docket.
It's notable Las Vegas is considering re-signing Kwiatkoski even with a new regime in place. GM Dave Ziegler made the decision to release the linebacker earlier this offseason, but it appears there's mutual interest in a reunion.
Kwiatkoski played a big role of the Raiders in 2020, starting all 12 games he appeared in while recording 4 passes defended, 1 forced fumble and 1 interception. He made zero starts in 2021, though, and an ankle injury sidelined him after just eight games.
If Kwiatkoski returns to 100%, it makes a ton of sense for Las Vegas to bring a familiar face back to the locker room.
