In what is becoming an all-too-familiar sight for Philadelphia Phillies fans, Roman Quinn may be about to land on the IL again.

Phillies News: Roman Quinn Injury

Quinn suffered a finger laceration in the second inning of Tuesday's game against the Milwaukee Brewers while trying to lay down a bunt. X-rays rules out a potential fracture, but he received nine stitches on the cut, and he'll be unavailable until that heals up.

Missing time is nothing new for Quinn, who missed games with COVID-like symptoms and more with a concussion in the shortened 2020 season. He also missed time in 2019 with a groin injury and dealt with a broken pinky toe in 2018.

When healthy, Quinn is absolutely electric. He had the second-highest average sprint speed in the majors in 2020, and he ranks fourth in that category in 2021. He's also a plus fielder, having generated 2 outs above average in the field since 2020, per StatCast data.

The Phillies sit atop the NL East standings in first place with a 15-15 record. Despite that, FanDuel Sportsbook has them ranked third in the NL East with just +430 odds to win the division.
