Despite going just 3-7 over their last 10 games, the Philadelphia Phillies remain very much alive in the NL East race. Philadelphia owns a 37-41 overall record, but trails the first-place New York Mets by just 4.5 games in the standings.

Phillies fans can also take a deep breath after getting news that the starting lineup is getting back to full strength. Philadelphia just recently activated second baseman Jean Segura off the 10-day injured list on Monday and now shortstop Didi Gregorius is back as well.

The club announced on Friday that Gregorius was reinstated from his lengthy stint on the IL.

Didi Gregorius Injury Update

The 31-year-old shortstop has been sidelined since mid-May with a nagging elbow issue. He even went through some rehab games with the Phillies minor league affiliate, but required additional rest following those contests.

Philadelphia will be thrilled to get the rest of their starting nine back. Gregorius was slashing .229/.266/.364 through 32 games. However, he's a career .264/.313/.431 and the Phillies are hoping to get him playing closer to his norm.

Right now, the Phillies own just +850 odds to win the NL East division, according to FanDuel Sportsbook. With a healthy starting nine, this team looks to make some noise down the stretch.
