PGA Dark Horse Picks for The Memorial Tournament

With the PGA Tour heading back to Muirfield Village for the second week in a row, we have already examined the odds, as well as some players to target for your fantasy team. Now, we take a look at some potential dark horse picks to target in the betting market.
With a loaded field this week, there's a bunch a talented guys with longer odds that could end up near the top of the leaderboard come Sunday. Let's go through some potential dark horse guys to watch.
PGA Dark Horse Picks
1. Xander Schauffele (+3100)
Xander Schauffele is coming off a t-14 last week at Muirfield Village, despite struggling in some areas of his short game. In fact, last week could be seen as a microcosm of his season. He ranks in the top-15 on tour in strokes gained (SG): Off-The-Tee, SG: Tee-To-Green and SG: Total, but has struggled with SG: Around-The-Green and SG: Putting, ranking No. 94 and No. 48, respectively. If he can turn those latter parts around he should turn that T-14 into a better number this week. He has the talent to come out on top here, even in this star-studded field.
2. Abraham Ancer (+4200)
Abraham Ancer is enjoying one of the best stretches of golf in his career since the sport has returned to tournament play. Coming into this tournament on the heels of three consecutive top-15 finishes, including a solo second at the RBC Heritage, Ancer, similar to Schauffele, has been consistent everywhere except in his short game. Ranking in the top-12 on tour in SG: Approach The Green, SG: Tee-To-Green and SG: Total, but only No. 73 in SG: Putting, if Ancer can clean that part of his game up, he could be in for a trip to the top of the leaderboard.
3. Matt Kuchar (+7500)
Matt Kuchar's consistency at Muirfield Village is why he should always be considered here. With a massive sample size that includes him making the cut in 11 of his last 12 appearances and grabbing a win in the process, the steady and consistent Kuchar has a chance to make some noise here this week. While his lack of length off the tee this season won't help him here, he's been quite accurate, ranking No. 25 on tour in driving accuracy and he's been phenomenal in his short game, ranking No. 8 on tour in SG: Putting. He hasn't played particularly well since the return of golf, but at a number like +7500, it's hard to ignore someone with so much success at this course.
