The Detroit Lions came away with an impressive win in Week 14 against the Minnesota Vikings. With Detroit clinging to a narrow lead late in the game, Lions head coach Dan Campbell made an incredibly gutsy call, one that caught everyone -- including the Vikings' defense -- by surprise.

Offensive tackle Penei Sewell reported as an eligible receiver, which isn't uncommon in an NFL game, but what happened next indeed is. Sewell got thrown the ball. He made the catch, turned around and dove past the first-down marker, helping seal Detroit's 34-23 victory.

When Sewell was asked about the play after the game, he gave an honest and hilarious response.

Sometimes you have to take some gambles when the game is on the line. They might work or they might not, but being creative can help improve their chance of success. You have to pick your spots and go with what the defense least expects. In this instance, Campbell nailed it and deserves all the credit in the world.

Campbell has the Lions playing some great football of late, helping them win five of their last six games and keeping their playoff hopes alive in the process. Detroit will look to keep rolling against the New York Jets in Week 15, where the Lions are listed as 1-point road favorites on FanDuel Sportsbook's NFL odds.
