Teams around MLB are making last-minute adjustments to their rosters as Opening Day approaches later this week. That even includes trades despite most of the dealing happening shortly after the end of the lockout.

On late Sunday night, the Baltimore Orioles agreed to send Tanner Scott to the Miami Marlins. Fellow reliever Paul Fry was devastated by the news.

Fry spoke to reporters right after the Scott news and "fought back tears," according to Roch Kubatko of MASN. Fry said Scott is "Uncle Tanner" to his son, which shows how strong of a bond the two created during their time together in Baltimore.

Since Fry made his major league debut in 2018, Scott has been there alongside him in the Orioles bullpen. Given the team's lack of success over the past four seasons, there's no telling how important this friendship was to both pitchers away from the field.

The Orioles head into Opening Day with +50000 odds (T-No. 29) to win the 2022 World Series, according to FanDuel Sportsbook.
