3 Remaining Pass-Rushers the Ravens Should Target in Free Agency

The Baltimore Ravens have made the playoffs in each of the last three seasons, but need to address some areas of need this offseason if they want to get back there in 2021. The Ravens have lacked a consistent pass rush over the last few seasons and should aim to improve that area of the defense.
The 2021 NFL Draft is almost here, but Baltimore should look to bring in some veteran talent instead of taking a chance on rookies. With that being said, here are three remaining pass-rushers the Ravens should target in free agency.
1. Justin Houston
Justin Houston has 10 years of NFL experience and could bring toughness that Baltimore's defensive line currently lacks. Plus, he has definitely proven his worth, posting at least 8.0 sacks and 12 QB hits in each of the last four seasons. Adding Houston would take this already strong defense to another level and give the Ravens a player that can truly mess with opposing quarterbacks in the pocket. Houston is arguably the best pass-rusher left on the market and Baltimore would be smart to pick him up.
2. Melvin Ingram
Another pass rusher the Ravens should consider signing is Melvin Ingram. He is coming off of an injury-plagued year, but Ingram had posted at least 7.0 sacks in each of his five seasons prior to 2020. He is likely motivated to show that he still has what it takes to compete in the NFL and might even sign for less money to play for a contending team like Baltimore. Ingram is a three-time Pro Bowler and a disruptive force when healthy. He is worth the risk for the Ravens.
3. Ryan Kerrigan
The Ravens have been linked to veteran playmaker Ryan Kerrigan before so it would make sense if they are still interested in him. Kerrigan has been a model of consistency throughout his career, racking up at least 5.5 sacks in each of his 10 NFL seasons. Plus, he posted 13.0 sacks as recent as 2018. Having Kerrigan on the roster would allow the Ravens to have a mentor for the younger defensive players as well. It likely wouldn't cost much to sign Kerrigan, so the Ravens should be targeting him.
