Aaron Rodgers' back-and-forth relationship and uncertain future with the Green Bay Packers has thus far been the storyline dominating the NFL offseason. As of now, we still don't know if Rodgers will be suiting up in a Packers uniform come the start of the 2021 season.

With the relationship surely on rocky ground, between the drafting of Jordan Love, to the lack of offensive talent the Packers seemingly refuse to surround Rodgers with, and a contract situation that seems anything but pleasant, what the NFL MVP is thinking is anyone's guess.

However, we did get some insight into the latter on Tuesday morning with Adam Schefter reporting that Green Bay offered Rodgers a contract extension this summer, which would have kept the 37-year-old QB in town for another five years, and seemingly the rest of his career. Rodgers declined the extension.

We don't know the exact dollar amount on the offer, but if it was going to make him the highest-paid player in football, it was clearly a massive one. This confirms earlier reports this offseason that the dispute was more about management and team relationship than it was about money.

We will find out soon if Rodgers officially reports to Packers training camp, or if this feud will continue. Regardless, this news surely won't be providing Packers fans with any comfort until then.
