Green Bay Packers star wide receiver Davante Adams has been on the shelf with a hamstring injury since Week 2, when he only made it through 52% of the Packers' offensive snaps before being forced out of that one.

The Packers have been just fine in his absence, moving to 4-0 and getting a bye in Week 5, but fans in Green Bay will still surely love to hear the latest update on Adams' injury.

This isn't a huge surprise, as Adams did appear close to suiting up against the Atlanta Falcons on Monday Night Football in Week 4, but it's great to get confirmation. His services will be especially important in a tough matchup against Tom Brady and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Robert Tonyan (3 touchdowns in Week 4) really stepped up Adams' absence, and that chance to improve his rapport with Aaron Rodgers could make this injury a blessing in disguise.

Adams had 156 yards and 2 touchdowns on 14 receptions in his only full game of the season so far, so the Rodgers-to-Adams connection looks like it's just as potent as ever.

Now getting his top target back, FanDuel Sportsbook gives Aaron Rodgers the second-best odds for any player (+400) to win NFL MVP this season.
