Packers and Key Free Agent Have Mutual Interest in Reuniting for 2022 Season

The Green Bay Packers will continue rounding out their roster for a Super Bowl push now that Aaron Rodgers has returned. One area that needs help is the secondary, as that unit struggled to find consistency between Jaire Alexander's injury and the slow development of Eric Stokes and Kevin King.
That's exactly why the midseason acquisition of veteran Rasul Douglas, who led the team with 5 interceptions in 12 games, was so important.
Packers Rumors
Douglas is a free agent this offseason, but recent rumors suggest there's "mutual interest" between him and the Packers.
The #Packers are expected to bring cornerback Rasul Douglas for at least the 2022 season, according to sources who spoke to @AaronWilson_NFL. https://t.co/5XbOWUlXlI

Rasul Douglas Packers
It's good to see the Packers working hard at striking a deal to bring back Douglas. He appeared in only 12 games, but he led the team with 5 interceptions, while racking up 13 passes defended and 57 tackles. Douglas received a favorable 74.8 rating from PFF.
Overall, the secondary rated middle of the pack (15th) in Football Outsiders' pass defense DVOA metric. The healthy return of Alexander alongside Douglas and some improvements from youngsters King and Stokes could have the Packers secondary in a solid place for a deep postseason runs.
