ProFootballFocus Makes Bold Prediction for Packers' Starting QB in Week 1

One of the biggest topics around the league right now is Aaron Rodgers and how his public feud with the Green Bay Packers will ultimately resolve. Rodgers has made it clear he wants to the team to commit to him after an MVP season and with 2020 rookie Jordan Love behind him on the depth chart.
ProFootballFocus recently released predictions on each team's starters for the 2021-22 season, and the possibility of a Rodgers trade has clearly impacted Green Bay's QB projection.

PFF believes that Love will take over as the Packers' starter in his second year. It's bold to think the Packers will hand the keys over to the young signal-caller after he didn't play a single regular-season snap in 2020. And the team's recent comments seem to indicate he still needs time to develop.
Yet the outcome of the Rodgers situation could thrust Love into the starting role. Green Bay wouldn't have traded up for him if they didn't think he was starting material one day -- it's just that day may be fast approaching give the events of this offseason.
After all, if Rodgers isn't playing then the only alternative to Love would be the recently signed Blake Bortles.
The current stalemate between Rodgers and the Packers is expected to drag on this summer. There's no telling how or when it'll end. But when the dust settles things could look a lot different under center in Green Bay this season.
