Ohio State News: Quinn Ewers Already Making Money Off NIL Deals

The NCAA's recent landmark ruling to allow college athletes to profit from their name, image and likeness through NIL deals has completely shifted the landscape of college sports in a virtual instant. In fact, it has even reached the high school ranks in some cases and high school football phenom and Ohio State Buckeye commit Quinn Ewers is taking advantage of it all.
Ewers recently announced he was reclassifying and leaving high school a year early to attend Ohio State, and with that announced his first NIL deal, a partnership with Holy Kombucha, a Texas-based drink company.
I may be leaving Texas soon to take it to the next level but I made sure to take the best Texas drink company with me. I am pumped to be representing Holy Beverages @holykombucha for many years ahead so that they will always make sure my fridge is loaded with Holy Tepache pic.twitter.com/ZWmDoZlz6h

Ewers is the nation's No. 1 overall prospect, and hails from the Texas high school football powerhouse Southlake Carroll. Ewers is one of only six recruits ever to earn a perfect 1.000 ranking from 247 sports. Not even Trevor Lawrence is part of that club, so the hype around Ewers is real.
Ewers heads to Ohio State for a tough QB battle to replace Justin Fields, that already includes two other five-star recruits. Regardless of when he becomes the Ohio State starter, Ewers has the potential to earn a massive payday with the blue-blood football program based on his fanfare as a prospect alone.
He has already broken the mold in more ways than one, and that should only continue at a program like Ohio State.
