Nick Mangold Reveals How His Opinion on Tom Brady Has Flipped
Nick Mangold spent his entire 11-year NFL career with the New York Jets. For all 11 of those years, Tom Brady was the quarterback of the New England Patriots. Mangold watched the Patriots control his AFC East division for almost the entirety of his career. So you can understand if Mangold wasn't the biggest fan of Brady.
In BetSided's debut episode of "Big Man Bets" with Mangold and Orlando Pace, he said as much. Mangold talked about how much he despised the New England version of Tom Brady, which wasn't an uncommon opinion.
However, like many others, the newer, more relaxed and laid back version of Brady in Tampa Bay has changed Mangold's opinion. Despite him still winning Super Bowls in Tampa, Mangold admits he now kind of likes Brady.
Brady's new demeanor and in some ways a new-found youth in Tampa has turned many haters into fans over the past year. He seems much more easy going. We don't know if that's the culture in Tampa, the warm weather, or just Brady letting loose finally after all those years in the tightly-run ship that is the Patriots.
