Not even the new reinforcements can stay healthy for a Buffalo Bills secondary that is riddled with injuries ahead of a Week 4 matchup against the Baltimore Ravens. Just days after signing with the team, cornerback Xavier Rhodes has suffered a hamstring injury and is unlikely to suit up on Sunday.
Buffalo Bills Injury News
Rhodes was signed to the practice squad earlier this week with a plan to upgrade him to the active roster before the 1 p.m. ET kickoff time arrived. It'll be at least one more week before Rhodes makes his Bills debut, though. Hamstring injuries can linger, which makes it hard to form a concrete timeline.
Across nine NFL seasons, the three-time Pro Bowler has racked up 453 tackles (16 for loss), 92 pass breakups and 13 interceptions in 133 games played. Rhodes started 16 games for the Indianapolis Colts last season and allowed a 60.7% completion percentage when targeted in pass coverage.
The Bills are lacking any sort of cornerback depth. Tre'Davious White remains on the Physically Unable to Perform list as he makes his way back from a torn ACL and Christian Benford fractured his hand in Buffalo's Week 3 loss. Dane Jackson and Cam Lewis are labeled as "questionable" as well.
It's safe to say the Bills are going to have to work hard to keep quarterback Lamar Jackson at bay on Sunday considering he leads the NFL with 10 passing touchdowns. For now, Buffalo is slated as a 3-point road favorite with odds set at -162 on the moneyline, according to FanDuel Sportsbook.
