FanDuel Picks Tonight NBA
Nikola Jokic Fantasy
Target Nikola Jokic, C, Denver Nuggets ($10,900): Night in and night out, Nikola Jokic is one of the safest and most productive options in fantasy. Now facing the Toronto Raptors, there's no reason to expect him to slow down. He's coming off a 64.4-point fantasy performance last night and should be able to damage a bottom-12 scoring defense and that allows opponents to rebound at a top-10 rate. That sets him up for a huge night as a scorer and on the boards.
Darius Bazley Fantasy
Darius Bazley, PF, Oklahoma City Thunder ($6,800): Darius Bazley is one of the best values at his position tonight. The 20-year-old has put up at least 36.0 FanDuel points in three of his last four outings, and he shouldn't face too much resistance from the New Orleans Pelicans. The Pelicans are a bottom-five scoring defense and play at a top-12 pace. With Shai Gilgeous-Alexander on the shelf, Bazley should see an uptick in opportunities and usage against a very beatable defense.
Killian Hayes Fantasy
Target Killian Hayes, PG, Detroit Pistons ($3,900): To make room for studs like Jokic, you'll need to take some flyers on some low-cost options. Detroit Pistons rookie Killian Hayes feels like a smart gamble. Playing for the future, the Pistons will be without a ton of key contributors tonight like Jerami Grant, Wayne Ellington and Corey Joseph, just to name a few. That should lead to a significant uptick in opportunities for Hayes, who is a sneaky (albeit risky) value play tonight.
Giannis Antetokounmpo Fantasy
Avoid Giannis Antetokounmpo, PF, Milwaukee Bucks ($11,200): Giannis Antetokounmpo and the Milwaukee Bucks are going to blow out the Houston Rockets. Milwaukee is a whopping 12.5-point favorite, per FanDuel Sportsbook. Giannis will likely do some real damage when he's on the court, but he's listed as probable with an ankle issue. If Milwaukee is playing with a big lead, Giannis could get the hook even earlier than usual tonight, which caps his upside. That's risky considering he's the most expensive player on the slate.
Fred VanVleet Fantasy
Avoid Fred VanVleet, SG, Toronto Raptors ($7,800): Fred VanVleet has been mired in a slump recently, scoring fewer than 30.5 fantasy points in three of his last four appearances. That's a big dip from his 38.81 season-long average. Meanwhile, D'Angelo Russell, who is $900 cheaper and facing a terrible Golden State Warriors defense, is averaging 37.5 FanDuel PPG over his last five. He's a considerably better option tonight than FVV. VanVleet is the second-most expensive active SG on the slate, so you're probably better off saving money at SG and spending big at other positions.
