NBA DFS 3/4/2022
Without further ado, here are three players to target and two to avoid in Friday, 3/4, NBA DFS action.
FanDuel Picks Tonight NBA - 3/4
Pascal Siakam Fantasy
Target Pascal Siakam, PF, Toronto Raptors ($8,100): The price tag attached to having Pascal Siakam in your lineup has started to drop as of late due to his recent scoring slump. That makes it the perfect time to buy low on the Raptors star in what is a great matchup. Siakam is set to face an Orlando Magic team that is allowing the second-most fantasy points to opposing power forwards this season. The Magic are also going to attempt to speed this game up given they play at the 10th-fastest pace in the NBA. There'll be a ton of opportunities for Siakam to score tonight, especially if Fred VanVleet is out again.
Cade Cunningham Fantasy
Target Cade Cunningham, PG/SG, Detroit Pistons ($7,100): Cade Cunningham's rookie year has been up and down at times, but he has really carved out a role on head coach Dwane Casey's team. The former Oklahoma State standout is averaging 20.5 points, 7.8 rebounds and 5.2 assists per game over his last six outings. Cunningham goes up against an Indiana Pacers team on Friday night that has posted the fifth-worst defensive efficiency mark in the league and allows 112.3 points per game overall (No. 22). Cunningham's usage rate in the month of February ranked 12th in the NBA, so look for the 20-year-old to keep being the focal point on offense.
D'Angelo Russell Fantasy
Target D'Angelo Russell, SG/PG, Minnesota Timberwolves ($7,800): There has simply been no stopping D'Angelo Russell since the Timberwolves came back from the All-Star break. The seventh-year pro has scored at least 21 points in each of his last four games and is shooting 53.7% from the floor during that span. It's worth noting that Anthony Edwards will miss this game because of an injury, which should open up even more scoring opportunities for Russell. Oklahoma City is giving up the third-most fantasy points to opposing shooting guards this season, too. Sliding Russell into your starting lineup is a smart move tonight.
Julius Randle Fantasy
Avoid Julius Randle, PF/C, New York Knicks ($8,800): Julius Randle has taken a back seat to RJ Barrett this season from a fantasy basketball perspective. The All-Star forward has poured in less than 17 points in two of his last three games and has seen his scoring mark dip below 20 points on the year. It's not going to get any easier for him on Friday night, either. The Phoenix Suns have posted the third-best defensive efficiency mark in the NBA and are allowing just 45.1 points in the paint per game (No. 10). That is not good news for Randle given most of his production comes near the rim. There's simply better options considering Randle's price tag.
Nikola Vucevic Fantasy
Avoid Nikola Vucevic, C, Chicago Bulls ($8,200): The Bulls are getting a double-double from Nikola Vucevic nearly every night, but he is only averaging 17.9 points per game. That is his lowest mark since the 2017 season. He draws a tough matchup tonight facing a Milwaukee Bucks defense that is giving up the fourth-fewest fantasy points to opposing centers. The Bucks also allow the fourth-fewest points in the paint per game (43.1). Vucevic is going to have a hard time getting to the rim with Giannis Antetokounmpo waiting to greet him. Grabbing a trusted center to slide into your lineup is a must. It shouldn't be Vucevic, though.
