NBA DFS 3/18/2022

Without further ado, here are three players to target and two to avoid in Friday, 3/18, NBA DFS action.

FanDuel Picks Tonight NBA - 3/18

Ja Morant Fantasy

Target Ja Morant, PG, Memphis Grizzlies ($10,100): Yes, Ja Morant missed the Grizzlies' last game due to a back injury, but all signs point to the dynamic guard suiting up on Friday night. He couldn't have asked for a batter matchup, either. The Hawks have posted the fifth-worst defensive efficiency mark in the NBA and have allowed a disappointing 112.2 points per game so far (No. 21 in NBA). Morant has a high price tag for a reason given he is averaging 27.5 points, 5.8 rebounds and 6.7 assists per game on the year. Look for the MVP candidate to ball out against a weak Atlanta defense.

Goran Dragic Fantasy

Target Goran Dragic, PG, Brooklyn Nets ($4,800): The absence of Kyrie Irving should once again propel veteran guard Goran Dragic into a major role on Brooklyn's offense. Seth Curry is expected to play, but may not be at 100 percent. The 35-year-old Dragic is coming off his best game as a Net in which he racked up 21 points (9-of-16 shooting) to go along with 3 rebounds and 4 assists. More importantly, he played 36 minutes in that contest. Dragic faces a Portland Trail Blazers team tonight that is giving up the second-most assists to opposing point guards (9.35) and the fifth-most fantasy points overall (46.25). Everything lines up for Dragic to be well worth his low price tag in this one.

Jordan Clarkson Fantasy

Target Jordan Clarkson, PG/SG, Utah Jazz ($5,000): This may be a guard-heavy lineup, but Jordan Clarkson sticks out as another underrated stud on tonight's slate. The eighth-year pro has scored at least 26 points in two of his last three games and has an opportunity to take on extended minutes against the Los Angeles Clippers. Both Donovan Mitchell and Bojan Bogdanovic will be out with injuries, leaving a ton of shot attempts up for grabs. Clarkson is shooting 53.7% from the floor over his last four games and has never been shy to having the ball in his hands. This pick is all about the upside.

Nikola Vucevic Fantasy

Avoid Nikola Vucevic, C, Chicago Bulls ($7,600): Avoiding big men that are going up against the Phoenix Suns has been a successful DFS strategy throughout the 2021-22 season. Phoenix allows the eighth-fewest points in the paint per game (45.0) and is giving up an opponent two-point shooting percentage of just 50.9% (No. 3 in NBA). Keep in mind Vucevic was also held to just 13 points on 6-of-15 shooting the last time he matched up against the Suns back on February 7. There's no reason to believe he'll have any better luck around the rim against Deandre Ayton this time around. It'd be best to look at other options at the center position.

Tobias Harris Fantasy

Avoid Tobias Harris, PF/SF, Philadelphia 76ers ($5,600): Fantasy managers have continued to wait for Tobias Harris to run things around this season, but it just hasn't happened. The 29-year-old is pouring in only 17.9 points a night, which is his lowest average since he was on the Detroit Pistons back in 2016. Philadelphia and Dallas play at the slowest paces in the NBA and that leaves little opportunity to Harris to ball out in this matchup. Add in the fact that the Mavericks allow the fewest fantasy points to opposing power forwards and Harris becomes a player to avoid altogether. Not even his low price tag makes him worth a spot in your Friday night lineup.
