LSU Receives Tough News on Myles Brennan’s Injury Update

The 2020 season certainly has not gotten off to the start that LSU Tigers' fans were hoping they'd see out of the defending national champions, even with the talent lost to the NFL Draft earlier this year in April.
And unfortunately for the LSU faithful, there's only more troubling news out of Tigers' camp with a questionable injury status tag for starting quarterback Myles Brennan ahead of this Saturday's matchup with the South Carolina Gamecocks.

According to Sports Illustrated's Glen West, Brennan has suffered a significant lower-body injury that has taken longer to heal than initially expected. Despite LSU's surprising 1-2 start to the season, Brennan has posted some impressive personal numbers thus far, with 1,112 passing yards, 11 touchdowns and just 3 interceptions.
With or without Brennan under center, the Tigers continue their 2020 campaign this Saturday at home in Baton Rouge, having already opened as 6.5-point favorites over the Gamecocks, according to FanDuel Sportsbook.
