It's safe to say the Minnesota Vikings have gone through it all after playing in 12 one-score games through the first 14 weeks of the NFL season. Their Thursday Night Football win over the Pittsburgh Steelers didn't come easy as they escaped by a score of 36-28 after nearly blowing a 29-0 lead.

Head coach Mike Zimmer is clearly aware of his team's inability to blow teams out and gave a sarcastic response during his post-game press conference. The 65-year-old called the game "another fun night" and simply stated that he now will start preparing for next week's matchup.

The Vikings jumped out to a commanding lead and held the Steelers scoreless before running back Najee Harris caught a touchdown pass with just over 2 minutes left in the third quarter. That is where it all went downhill as quarterback Kirk Cousins' two interceptions let Pittsburgh back in the game.

Zimmer has been with Minnesota for eight seasons now and owns an overall record of 70-54-1 as the team's head coach. He has led the Vikings to the playoffs three different times, which included one NFC Championship game appearance in 2017.

Minnesota sits at 6-7 on the season and continues to fight to stay alive in the NFC playoff race. With games against the Green Bay Packers and Los Angeles Rams left on the schedule, maybe the Vikings' experience in highly contested games can come in handy down the stretch.

Zimmer's squad currently has odds set at +192 to secure a postseason berth, according to FanDuel Sportsbook.
