Mike Evans has been one of the best wide receivers in the NFL for nearly a decade since debuting with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in 2014. His consistent outstanding performance has helped him amass some impressive career totals, including four Pro Bowl selections and eight straight seasons with over 1,000 receiving yards -- the only player in NFL history to begin his career with such a streak.
Now in his ninth campaign, the 29-year-old stud wideout is set to join some impressive company in Week 12.
Mike Evans Milestone
With 28 receiving yards on Sunday, Evans will reach 10,000 for his career. That would make him just the sixth NFL player ever with at least 10,000 receiving yards and 75 touchdown catches in their first nine seasons, joining Jerry Rice, Calvin Johnson, Marvin Harrison, Larry Fitzgerald and Randy Moss. All except Fitzgerald are Hall of Famers, and Fitzgerald will certainly be elected when he first becomes eligible in 2026.
A stat like that helps put Evans' career in perspective and makes his numbers appear even more impressive. He's not just one of the best pass-catchers in the game today, but one of the best ever. Even if his performance drops off in his 30s, he's likely done enough to guarantee a plaque in Canton.
Evans is a good bet to get the 28 yards he needs on Sunday given that he's notched at least 40 receiving yards in every game he's played this season. He's also enjoyed massive success against his Week 12 opponent -- the Cleveland Browns -- in the past, exceeding 100 receiving yards in both of his career games against them.
Tom Brady's favorite target will try to help the Buccaneers win their third straight game and climb over .500 for the first time since Week 5. Tampa Bay is currently favored by 3.5 points on the road on FanDuel Sportsbook's NFL odds.
