With a 32-6 loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Sunday, the Carolina Panthers have now dropped their last five games in a row. Fans let the team know exactly how they felt about their poor efforts against the Bucs, showering the Panthers with boos.

While some personnel might be offended that their hometown crowd was booing them, it didn't bother head coach Matt Rhule at all. In fact, he welcomed the sentiment.

Rhule said fans are entitled to boo, especially when the team is underperforming. He also said that the jeers "show that people care" and makes winning "that much better."

"What fans deserve is they deserve a winner. They saw a really good team early in the year and they're not seeing it right now. I understand their frustration."

A major part of Carolina's shortcomings throughout the season has been the team's offense. The Panthers are averaging the seventh-fewest points per game, which is further declining after they've scored 14 or fewer points in three of their last four games.

Carolina tried to shake things up earlier this year by bringing back Cam Newton to battle for the No. 1 quarterback spot. Unfortunately, that hasn't panned out at all, with Newton going 0-5 in five starts while throwing four touchdowns to five interceptions.

With the postseason no longer an option, the Panthers must figure out a way to give their fans something to cheer about in the closing weeks.
