There's no way to sugarcoat it — the Miami Marlins' loss to the Atlanta Braves on Wednesday night was as brutal as it gets. The 29-9 beat down had very few bright spots for the Marlins.

One of those bright spots was the hilarious posts from the team's Twitter account, though. They were on fire throughout the loss.

They had some sympathetic ears for the jokes as well, as the Detroit Tigers suffered a 19-0 loss of their own on Wednesday.

It wasn't all doom and gloom either. They had some fun as the offense started to mount some production in the seventh inning, pretending a comeback might have been in the cards.

To cap it all off, they announced the final score of the game with a terrific reference to the new Dune movie trailer, which was released on Wednesday.

Wednesday wasn't a great day for many people in the Marlins' organization, but their social media team certainly had a terrific showing.
