The Seattle Mariners made a major move to upgrade their outfield on Wednesday, trading two pitchers to the Toronto Blue Jays for Teoscar Hernandez.

Even after landing a big bat in Hernandez, the Mariners apparently aren't done re-working their outfield.

With center field and right field now manned by All-Stars, Seattle is still looking to improve in left field as well. The Mariners currently have several candidates there including Jesse Winker, Sam Haggerty, Dylan Moore and Jarred Kelenic, none of whom represent particularly attractive everyday options for a contender.

Seattle's left fielders struggled at the plate last year, batting a combined .212/.325/.332 with 16 home runs and 56 RBIs. Accordingly, it makes sense why the Mariners are looking to improve there.

Thankfully for Seattle, there are still plenty of options available on the free agent market as the offseason has only just begun. Joey Gallo, Andrew Benintendi, Adam Duvall and others are all capable of providing some thump there.

If the Mariners do acquire a top left fielder, that will give them one of the best outfields in baseball and make their talented roster even better. Seattle is currently tied with the Philadelphia Phillies for the eighth-best World Series odds on FanDuel Sportsbook's MLB odds.
