After Le'Veon Bell's holdout fiasco with the Pittsburgh Steelers, and the full season he sat out because of it, the star running back landed in New York with the Jets, and head coach Adam Gase. Both Gase and Bell arrived in New York the same offseason, and let's just say, things did not go well for either of them in the Big Apple.

Le'Veon Bell Rips Adam Gase

Bell only played one full underwhelming season in New York before being dealt heading to Kansas City. Gase only last two seasons with Gang Green and went a putrid 9-23 in that time.

Bell recently answered a fans tweet on Twitter talking about him not being the same player with the Jets, which Bell not only denied, but claimed he was in fact actually better, and then squarely put the blame on Gase for any and all of his downfalls.

It's kind of tough to believe either of them in this situation. Gase has had close to zero success as a head coach. In his five total seasons, he has one winning record in his srookie coaching campaign in 2016. In the four subsequent years, he averaged an abysmal 5.5 wins per season.

On the other hand, yes Bell was theoretically the "best" running back in the NFL coming into his Jets tenure, but he was also coming off a completely lost year where he didn't play any football. That's not exactly something easy to jump back into effectively for a running back in the back half of his career.

We will never know who was to blame, the true answer is they probably both deserve some blame. One thing we do know is both are currently out of the NFL.
