Le'Veon Bell Injury Update Solidifies Week 10 Fantasy Outlook Against Giants

Some concern popped up around Le'Veon Bell's fantasy outlook after he underwent an MRI on Monday and was expected to miss Wednesday's practice.
New York Jets head coach Adam Gase alleviated those concerns, though, announcing that he expects Bell to suit up in Week 10. That solidifies his fantasy outlook as one of the week's top RB plays in a matchup with the New York Giants.
Adam Gase says that Le’Veon Bell is just really sore right now. He was trying to practice today. Team thought it made more sense to rest him today.

Gase believes he’ll play vs Giants
Bell struggled to the tune of just 35 yards from scrimmage on 11 touches in Week 8, but his volume bounced back in a big way with 17 carries and eight receptions in Week 9.
His fantasy production hasn't been anything special, ranking only 17th among RBs with 14.7 PPR points per game on the year, but this volume is a great sign for a potential bounce-back game, especially in a favorable matchup like he draws against the G-Men.
Even with that dud in Week 8, Bell is averaging 22.0 opportunities (15.6 carries plus 6.4 targets) per game on the year, which ranks seventh among all players. Low efficiency is no surprise in the Jets' struggling offense (tied for dead-last with 12.0 points per game), but that volume is hard to ignore.
The Giants rank 25th in Football Outsiders' defensive DVOA rankings and have allowed the 12th-most PPR points per game to opposing RBs, so that volume should also come with at least a small efficiency boost this week.
Jets are signing RB Josh Adams off their practice squad to block another team from adding him to its active roster, not because Le’Veon Bell’s knee injury is serious, per source. Bell is, in the word of one source, “good.”

This positive update means that fantasy players can start Bell with no hesitation this week. Combining elite volume and a plus matchup leaves him sitting at RB7 in our Week 10 PPR fantasy football rankings.
