Laviska Shenault fell to the Jacksonville Jaguars in the second round, coming off the board at No. 42 overall. One of the most versatile weapons available in the 2020 NFL Draft, Shenault played all over the field for the Colorado Buffaloes, and he's expected to do the same in Jacksonville.
Though he's not a part of an elite passing game, there's plenty of opportunity for Shenault to be a solid fantasy producer as a rookie.
Laviska Shenault Fantasy Football Value
Shenault's primary competition for targets will be DJ Chark, who projects to be the Jaguar's No. 1 option yet again in 2020. That said, Chris Conley (775 receiving yards in 2019) and Dede Westbrook (660 receiving yards) could be heavily involved as well.
Though he'll be competing with more established options, Shenault projects to be an excellent fit with Gardner Minshew. Last season, Minshew had an average depth of target (aDOT) of 7.1, good for the sixth-lowest mark among all qualified passers.
Shenault's best attribute is his ability to make plays after the catch, suggesting he'll shine on the short, quick routes that Minshew seems to prefer.
It'll be difficult to trust Shenault on a weekly basis, but he does carry a decent amount of upside, especially if he works his way into being the team's No. 3 option. Shenault is the No. 18 overall player in our post-draft rookie dynasty rankings.
