The New Orleans Saints have continued to be a contender in the NFC, and that should continue in 2020. Overall, they have done a good job in free agency to re-sign important players and also attract new talent.

To get over the hump and get back to the Super Bowl, the Saints need a draft class similar to the one they had a couple years ago, where nearly every pick was a bulls-eye.

With that in mind, these are three late-round steals the Saints should target in the 2020 NFL Draft,

1. Anthony Gordon, QB, Washington State

With Teddy Bridgewater gone and Drew Brees at the end of his career, there is a lot of pressure currently on Taysom Hill to be the future. With quarterback talent late in the draft, the Saints should take a flier on one, giving them a chance to develop him behind Brees and Hill for a couple of years. One of the obvious late round choices is Anthony Gordon, who lit it up at Washington State, completing 71.6 percent of his passes for 5,579 yards and 48 touchdowns as his only year as a starter.

2. Matthew Wilkerson, TE, Edward Waters

We know the Saints like players that have versatility and multiple skill sets. At Edward Waters, Matthew Wilkerson played both ways, as tight end and defensive end. He plans to pursue tight end in the NFL, and his story should remind you a little bit of Will Dissly's, who's had some great moments in the league. Wilkerson is the big, athletic tight end that Sean Payton likes, and he can spend some time perfecting technique, with Jared Cook holding down the starting spot, for now.

3. Logan Wilson, LB, Wyoming

Logan Wilson is a consistent linebacker with a nose for the ball. Last season, he recorded 105 tackles, seven passes defended, one sack, one force fumble and four interceptions. While he will likely only be a backup in the NFL, he is perfect in that role. You can trust him to be in the right spot and make plays when he rotates in.
