When it comes to athletes, sometimes they'll use their uniform as a way to showcase their personality. For football players, they might choose to wear flashy cleats or perhaps even personalized gloves. Well, New York Giants rookie wideout Kadarius Toney took that to another level with his fashion statement on Friday.

The 2021 No. 20 overall pick attended the Giants' rookie minicamp on Friday and was spotted going through the drills without a shoe or cleat on. Most football players would say that Toney's decision was far from practical, but maybe it just works for him.

A picture of Toney's fashion statement was tweeted out by the NFL Network's Kim Jones. However, the one-cleat practice was short-lived. Four minutes after the initial photo was posted, Jones followed up by saying that the rookie was "back to two cleats."

Giants fans may never know why Toney chose to go shoeless on just one foot, but one thing is for certain: the team's new wide receiver has a fun personality. Fortunately, he also has the skills to back it up after a breakout season with the Florida Gators. Through 11 games in 2020, Toney turned 70 receptions into 984 receiving yards and 10 touchdowns, leading to him being named First-Team All-SEC.

Despite being a talented first-round pick, Toney is a bit of a longshot to win the 2021 Offensive Rookie of the Year Award. FanDuel Sportsbook has him tied with the 15th-best odds to win the award at +6000. Even if his odds are slim, Toney has the talent and personality to continue entertaining Giants fans for years to come.
