Justin Fields Fantasy Outlook Soars After Being Named Starter

Rookie Justin Fields has drawn each of the last two starts at quarterback for the Chicago Bears due to an injury suffered by veteran Andy Dalton. The big news out of Chicago on Wednesday is that Fields will remain the starter moving forward despite Dalton returning to practice this week.

It seemed like only a matter of time before this happened. Dalton struggled to keep the Bears in games and head coach Matt Nagy now has a chance to se what Fields truly has to offer. This development obviously causes the 22-year-old's fantasy outlook to soar heading into Week 5.

Justin Fields Fantasy Outlook

Fields hasn't balled out in either of his first two starts, but he hasn't been terrible either. He looked crisp against the Detroit Lion in Week 4, passing for 209 yards on just 17 attempts (12.3 average). Keep in mind that was the first game Fields played with Bill Lazor calling the plays from the sideline.

The upside Fields comes with in fantasy football involves his ability to rush the football. Fields ran for over 1,100 yards across four college seasons and already scored a rushing touchdown back in Week 1. His elite agility and tendency to break tackles gives him a unique skill set that not many QBs possess.

For now, Fields checks in at QB22 in The Duel's rest of season fantasy football rankings. He is the perfect QB2 to have on the roster and someone to keep an eye on as the season progresses.
