Julio Jones Trade Value Reportedly on the Rise

Everyone around the league now knows that Julio Jones wants to be traded by the Atlanta Falcons. However, Jones' recent comments on national TV could've tanked his trade value, which already wasn't that high despite being a two-time First Team All-Pro.

But if anything, interest in Jones is on the rise. And his trade value is reportedly increasing.

ESPN's Diana Russini reports that Atlanta has "several" trade offers on the table for their star wideout, including one package cenetred on a future first-round pick. It's been rumored that the Falcons were looking for a first-round pick in any Jones trade, but so far they hadn't gotten any bites and that led to speculation about them potentially taking a second- or even third-round pick if teams decided to play hard ball.

It appears Jones' very public comments about a trade have ramped up interest and accelerated negotiations. Tension has been building for years between the WR and the team, making a breakup inevitable.

With each side's desires now made clear, it's likely helped speed up a split so both parties can start fresh. Plus, there's likely a few contending teams that are eager to add the star receiver, and a bidding war could push Jones' price in the coming days.
