JuJu Smith-Schuster Injury Update Erases His Week 15 Fantasy Football Value

JuJu Smith-Schuster got in a full practice on Wednesday, making it look like he was all but a lock to return to action against the Buffalo Bills this weekend.

He apparently re-aggravated the injury in Thursday's practice though, and JuJu is now expected to miss this pivotal game for Pittsburgh.

JuJu Smith-Schuster Fantasy Football Outlook

Even when healthy, JuJu hasn't exactly been a top fantasy option this year. Excluding Week 11, when he went down in the first half, he averaged 6.5 targets and 11.4 PPR fantasy points per game over nine contests. That had him ranked as WR49 on a per-game basis.

With JuJu likely sidelined, it's going to be tough to trust Pittsburgh's other wideouts, like James Washington, due to the matchup against Buffalo. The Bills rank fifth against the pass in Football Outsiders' defensive DVOA metrics, and have surrendered the NFL's fifth-fewest PPR fantasy points to opposing WRs.
