John Brown Fantasy Outlook Improves in Week 8 With Matchup Against Weak Eagles Secondary

The Buffalo Bills have started out the season at 5-1, and they have a chance to keep rolling against the Philadelphia Eagles' shaky secondary in Week 8.

Philadelphia has allowed 1,894 passing yards thus far, the third-worst total in the league, and that sets up Bills QB Josh Allen for a massive day. Of course, this matchup also creates serious fantasy value for Buffalo's No. 1 WR, John Brown.

The Eagles have given up the most fantasy points per game to opposing wideouts this season. Philadelphia is also allowing 12.1 yards per completion (tied for No. 10 in the NFL), and that's a recipe for disaster against a big-play threat like Brown.

Considering Brown has a 35 percent market share of the Bills' air yards, the best mark on the team and tied for the 14th-highest in the league, he could torch Philadelphia on some downfield throws in Week 8.

Brown also sports a 22 percent target share, which ties him for the best mark on the Bills alongside Cole Beasley, so it's safe to expect Allen to continue funneling targets his way come Sunday.

Right now, there are few better matchups in fantasy than a downfield threat facing the Eagles' secondary, and Brown looks poised for a great game. He's currently listed as WR18 in our Week 8 fantasy football PPR rankings.
